Maja Blanca

One of the desserts known to most Filipinos, this one is easy to prepare, and can be made with typical ingredients from your nearby grocery. 🙂

You will need:

4 cups coconut milk
1 cup condensed milk
3/4 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup white sugar
1 cup cornstarch
1 cup corn kernels


Step 1
In a saucepan, bring the coconut milk to a soft boil and then add the sugar and condensed milk. allow to simmer for 7-10 minutes.


Step 2:
While allowing the coconut milk to simmer, in a different bowl, mix the evaporated milk and cornstarch until smooth and lumps have been removed.


Step 3:
Add the evaporared milk and cornstarch mixture along with the corn kernels into the coconut milk and stir until the mixture is thick enough to fold. Keep folding for another 5 minutes.


Step 4:
In a small container, put all of the mixture and allow to cool down before putting into the refrigerator.


Serve cold.

Best if served with a sprinkle of grated cheddar cheese.
