If you’re looking for something to prepare within 15 to 20 minutes, this is a perfect meal to prepare. It’s fast, it’s easy, and absolutely tasty.
You will need:
500g fettuccine pasta
400ml all purpose cream
1/4 kg shrimps deshelled, deveined
2-3 pcs ham
1 whole green bell pepper (not in pic)
1 can mushroom
1 tbsp salt
1/3 tbsp ground black pepper
1/2 red onion (chopped)
4 pcs garlic (chopped)
1/2 stick butter
1/2 cup cheddar cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
***Before starting with the sauce, cook the pasta in boiling water with a pinch of salt and about 2 tbsp olive oil. This will take about 15-20 minutes. ***
Melt the butter in a saucepan and saute the garlic until light brown, followed up by the onions.
Pour in the all purpose cream, simmer for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In another saucepan, strain the sauce to remove the onions and garlic. All you’ll need are the flavors of those spices. Simmer over medium heat.
You may opt to leave them; up to you.
Add the shrimp, mushrooms, chopped ham, and green bell pepper. Cook for another 10 minutes while stirring occasionally.
Add the salt and pepper to taste
By this time your pasta should already be al dente. Drain the pasta. In a container, slowly add the sauce to the pasta. Be careful with the proportion as you do not want to overpower the pasta with the sauce, and you do not want the pasta to be too dry, either.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley or fresh basil and parmesan cheese.
Best served with a glass of chilled white wine.
