Aside from it being an excellent side dish for mostly anything, the humble mashed potato can also be used for tasty dishes like the shepherd’s pie, chicken casserole, which I’ll also post one of these days.
This is in preparation for those dishes, to establish one of the base ingredients.
What you’ll need:
6 to 8 medium potatoes (or 4 to 5 large)
1/2 stick butter
1/4 pack all purpose cream
After chopping the potatoes into smaller cubes, put into a small pot and bring to boil, leave for about 30-45 minutes.
Drain the water out. Start mashing the potatoes.
Add the butter and continue mashing the potato until the butter is mixed evenly into the mash
Pour in the all purpose cream.
Stir well into the mash until desired texture.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper to season according to desired taste.
Sprinkle with parsley and parmesan cheese.
