I always wondered how Don Henrico’s and other restaurants who served Buffalo Wings made these. After much experimenting on the right herbs and spices, finally came up with this recipe. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
What you’ll need:
1/2 kg chicken wings
1 cup flour
1 tbsp ground black pepper
1 tbsp salt
1 tsp sugar
For the coating
1 stick butter
1/2 cup Tabasco hot sauce
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp garlic
Mix together the flour, black pepper, salt, and sugar in one container.
Beat the egg and dip each wing in it.
Roll each wing on the powder mix and set aside.
Dip the covered wings again into the egg and roll it again on the powder mix. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
Deep fry for 15 minutes, then drain with paper towels. Set aside
For the coating:
Melt the butter in a sauce pan and sautee the garlic until golden brown
Pour the tabasco and sugar and boil until it thickens, continuously stirring to avoid lumps.
Pour the sauce in a container big enough for you to contain the wings and close it with a lid.
Shake all the ingredients inside until the sauce completely coats all of the wings.
Serve with Garlic Ranch (works better with blue cheese mixed into the ranch).
